Mario Beretta, the consultant of the Italian Football Association and former Milan youth training coordinator, expressed his opinion on the overall lineup of Maldini, Colombo and Milan in an interview.
Beretta said: "Milan has a very healthy lineup system. Although there are many young players, we have to know that many young players in Milan are actually very experienced. We should not only focus on age, but on experience."
"Paqueta? It's a pity that he didn't play his full strength in Milan. Maybe his technical characteristics are not compatible with Milan. Hope he can regain his confidence in Ligue 1."
"Daniel Maldini and Colombo? They are both powerful and potential young players. I believe their careers will reach a certain height, but I think we should not always use Ibrahimovic’s standards to measure them. It shouldn’t be used to encourage them now and put too much pressure on them prematurely.”
"Milan's youth training? I have always been optimistic about Milan's youth training, and I think Milan has a head coach who is very good at using and tapping new talents. I am full of confidence in Milan's future prospects."
